Rules for uploading the files

WARNING! You must only upload the files containing music in case:
- you are its author or performer (and you own the respective copyright or related rights);
- you own the copyright or related rights to the music.
You are legally liable for the music you upload and for the information you indicate.
! Requirements to the uploaded musical works: general audio format - WAV 16 bit, 44 100 Hz, stereo. Do not use several different formats in one series. Each file must be complete (uncut) and of good quality. A composition must not be shorter than 45 seconds.
! Do not upload compositions containing “Explicit” content, abusive language, description of sexual behavior (with restrictions for minors), discriminative words and expressions, references to drugs.

Upload procedure:
1. Go to Backstage "Music" page. You can do it from the Homepage in one of the following ways:
- by clicking "Music" section;
- by clicking the "Add" button, located to the left from “applications” on the homepage.
2. Then, click “Add record” in the “Music” section.
3. Then, in the pop-up menu, select the record type (with or without words), and click “Add”.
4. After that a window will open, where you can select the file(s) to be uploaded (up to fifty at once).
! Attention:
1. You can download up to 50 compositions at once provided that the record type, author or performer is similar.
2. You cannot edit the file name.
3. The field "Name of the composition" may be edited (name of the file must correspond to the composition name; you cannot use numbers in file names, e.g. Track1, Track2 etc.)
4. Year of the first publication must be indicated.
5. ISRC code (if any) – International Standard Recording Code, which is a means for identification of recorded music and music videos. .
6. ISWC code (if any) – International Standard Musical Work Code – unique reference number for identification of musical works, similar to ISBN for books.
7. Creative roles and owners of the rights:
The total scope of copyright must constitute 100%, related rights –100% as well.
Each track is a record of a musical work:
A record and its performance are the object of related rights (there is always a performer[1] and a record producer[2]);
A musical work is the object of copyright (there is always an composer of the music, а and, if a musical work contains words – an author of the text). Here are some examples of creative role distribution (standard):
1) Record without words:
Copyright - composer 100%,
Related rights - performer 50%, record producer 50%;
2) Record with words:
Copyright - 50% author of the text, 50% composer. (Provided that a song has 2 co-authors).
Related rights - performer 50%, record producer 50%.
There may be several co-authors of the text or the music, in which case the percentage ratio is changed accordingly.
! The total percentage of copyright constitutes 100%.
! The total percentage of related rights constitutes 100%.
8. Click the "upload" button (after you upload all the compositions and fill out all the required fields, click "Upload").
9. File uploading (you have to wait until the page is refreshed and the “you have completed the bulk upload of “record with words\without words” to the portal”, and “Close” button will appear below the information).
10. Upload results:
- all the files must be indicated in the "Successfully uploaded" table;
- If there are files indicated as "Failed", they must be uploaded again.
11. All successfully uploaded compositions will appear in the "Music" section.

[1] performer – a person which performed (played or sung) the work, may include name of the singer or the band etc..;
[2] record producer – a person which recorded the performance of the work and obtained the rights to the record of performance as of the moment of its creation (a music producer, music studio etc.).
